Kathy,

Four and a half years ago I purchased a black/rust 6 month old male from you.

His name is Legard's Inigo von Volker D-CD, BH, C.G.C.  I wanted to update you on how we've been doing. 

You probably don't remember, but he is my first "show"  dog.  As you can see by his name, we have obtained a few titles.  We finished our D-CD 3rd leg in May 2007 with a 185. (3rd place) out of 9 entries.  Our BH in 2005, and our C.G.C. in 2004.

Inigo just turned 5 on March 26, 08 and he is the love of my life.  We are now working on our OB 1 and D-CDX.  I would also like to try Rally. 

I have lost my 2 female Boxers in the last 2 years to cancer, so Inigo is currently my only child.  I am interested in obtaining another Dobe.  in the near future.  Can you explain the "Free Puppy" you offer in your contract?  It said something about obtaining 2 titles..

Jedi has improved since that video was taken. We will continue to record
our training sessions and take more working pics when we can (it's below
freezing up here in Wisconsin!). We will let you know links, websites,
etc.. where all that information is once we get more.

Mark Keating, our training decoy, is 2007 NARA Decoy Champion for French
Ring sport (top decoy in the nation!). He has commented that Jedi is one of
the better dobermanns he has seen (We have come to realize that many people
are skeptical about modern day dobermanns as a working dog). He believes
that Jedi can title a Brevet and maybe a French Ring 1. We hope to title at
least a Brevet.

Dear Kathy-

It's been a long while since we last contacted you about Jedi. We thought
you would like to know that he's started advanced training for about 5
months now. We are training with USA's top French Ring Decoy (Mark Keating)
- see at http://www.ringsport.org. Jedi has come a LONG way....from not
caring about the bite sleeve to loving it! He currently jumps the hurdle at
about 3-3.5 feet, learning the A-wall, obedience, and defense/handler. We
have also switched him to a raw diet with supplements. He's a happy & healthy boy!

Oh Yeah! We were in our trainer's commercial for their kennel's boarding &

3 BIS Puppy B in Guatemala, 2 BIS Young in Cuba, Is almost Young Champion in Costa Rica, and only need the point after 15 month to be Champion of Costa Rica, He had the 4th place in Doberman Young in the World Champion, He was BIS Young in Costa Rica competition with the Judge Eliane Young.
Look at Roman go! I took him lour coursing. He is a true Doberman. He will not go over 50 yards from me, no matter where we are. Even here off leash or at the beach. It is like he has some kind of invisible boundary. He was hot on the trail of the rabbit (lure) and at about 50 yards he stops and comes running back to check on me. Boy can he move. Everyone loves him. He is so sweet and nice to everyone. They all think he is so beautiful.

I hope this makes you smile. It is a good way for him to burn off steam!

Dear Kathy
I am hoping this finds you and yours in good health and happy.
Batman is absolutely awesome! He spent a couple of months in Florida this winter just being a perfect doberman and we came home for the UDC National Trial where he marched right in and passed his WAE and Adult TT and went on to win his Obedience Class and High in Trial!  He was outstanding in the two days of Working Dog Seminar work and makes us all very proud. He shows as Legard's Batman and everyone wants to know where I got such a phenomal doberman! You did an excellent job of breeding and picking out just the right dog for me.  We are now fine tuning his work for his Schutzhund 1 which we are not rushing but working steadily.  He loves to work!
Thank you again for such a wonderful dog.  He might want a little sister one of these days.

Dear Kathy
Legard's Batman once again made us very proud.  He passed his TT test in the Doberman Pinscher Club of America National Working Dog Trial today.  The judge said he is "a very balanced dog".  His only regret is that he couldn't go out there on the field and do the protection work which is his very favorite, but he needs to spend a lot of time training now for that chance.
He now has his BH, CGC, TT and will go for his Therapy Dog certification in the next couple of weeks.  He is a very good working dog.

Dear Kathy
I hope this finds you and yours well and having a good fall. My incredible doberman just passed his BH today at 16 months old and he passed his Canine Good Citizen test earlier this summer. He still has time with his training schedule to be my best friend, take care of the grandchildren. get his "work" done with the horses every day, visit my 98 yr.old mother in the care center, go to the Plaza Art Fair, and on and on. We are going to the DPCA trial in Topeka, KS in a couple of weeks and do the TT there. He is working on the building blocks for his SCH 1 and he loves to work and play. I think of you thankfully often for bringing such a delightful dog into my life. Fondly,

Batman passed his obedience class with flying leaps and bounds....literally, he scored 191 out of 200 points and 5 of the points he lost were for jumping up once in the heeling pattern and the other 4 points were for not standing still enough for the stand for exam!  What a character he is.  This is such a good place for socializing a doberman when we have a variety of people coming and going from "his" stable and his job is to protect.
We will go try some of the things at the UDC Nationals which is just about 30 miles from our farm in Missouri this year.  Again, not for performance as much as the experience.

Will keep you posted on his progress.....he is so smart and such a good friend that sometimes it is hard to think he is a dog.  But, I enjoy the Alpha role so keep him behaving.

I thought that you may like updates on how my girl is doing.  I have named her Leyna, it means little angel in German. We will be going for our BH this May, and hopefully all goes well, and her Schutzhund I this fall. Her protection, obedience and tracking is coming along great! I train with my main club once a week and we train with Hartmutt Beckmanns club once a month.  I also train her in obedience once a week at a private training center.  We just got our pictures all over their website, that web site address is www.coloradocanineacademy.com if you would like to see them.  Just look in the photo gallery under obedience pics.

Hi Kathy,
I just wanted to let you know that my bitch that I got from you, Leyna now has BH and a WH.  Leyna, (Elma Legard)  is from the E litter a couple of years ago.  We received the BH last spring and the WH this last weekend.  I am almost 7 months pregnant and still worked through that WH title, YEH!!  Due to the baby coming I am going to trial for a VPG 1 this next fall instead of spring.  She is pretty much ready now though.  We will also being doing some stuff in the 2006 UDC Nationals conviently located only 15 minutes away from our house. I at least know we will be trying for a WAC and maybe some conformation and working titles. I am also emailing you some new pictures from this last weekend when she was doing the WH excercises. 
I have heard that some people have been trying to contact me for reference from your testimonials section of the Legard website.  Here is my updated information.  My email address is kendallsfloors@yahoo.com . Duke should have already achieved all of these goals).  Carlos doesn't really think we should have a problem achieving these goals as long as we take our time and do it right.
